Tower 42 (National Westminster Tower)
Tower 42 – Description
Tower 42 at 25 Broad Street is the second tallest building in the City of London and the fifth tallest in London having 45 floors and a height of 183 metres. It was built in the 1970s to provide office accommodation for the International Division of the National Westminster Bank and comprises a central concrete core with radial beams supporting the floor plates. Its style is a little dated when compared to the nearby 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin), but it is still impressive.
A restaurant on the 42 floor is open to the public and provides excellent views over the City of London.
